Raise the horn. Speak your words. Be witnessed.
Symbel — the ancient Germanic ritual of the shared drinking ceremony — is one of heathenry's most powerful and intimate practices. Words spoken over the horn carry weight. Oaths are bound, ancestors are honored, and community is forged across the distance between us.
Now we bring that tradition online. Join the Windsong Foundation for a virtual symbel open to practitioners of all experience levels. Whether you raise a horn of mead, a cup of coffee, or a glass of water, what matters is that you show up, speak truly, and share in the rite with us.
This is a space for genuine practice — not performance. Come ready to honor your gods, your ancestors, and the community we are building together.
The sun is at its height. The world is alive. Come celebrate with us.
Litha — the ancient midsummer festival — marks the longest day of the year, a time when the boundary between worlds grows thin and the power of the sun reaches its peak. For our ancestors across the Norse, Hellenic, and Celtic traditions, this was a moment to gather, to give thanks, and to honor the forces that sustain all life.
This year, the Windsong Foundation is bringing that tradition back. Join us for a sacred ritual ceremony and communal feast as we mark the turning of the wheel together. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or simply curious about the old ways, this is a gathering built for community — a chance to share food, share fire, and share in something ancient and alive.
Nearly fifty people will come together to celebrate — and we'd love for you to be one of them.
